Well, it is almost Christmas, am I ready? Of course not! Is this really true, maybe I am! This has been the first time I can ever remember that I have not put up my Xmas decorations, bought my gifts, etc. before this date. I had many diversions in my path dictating to me that I still had lots of time. Living in the now, it is all perfect!
So, today is the day for the raising of the Christmas tree, in all its splendor. One thing I must say, leaving the decorating to such a late date, there is a minimal amount of decorating, and the nice thing will be less work in putting them away.
I don't know about the rest of the world, but downsizing is what I am appreciating, removing some of the clutter, collectibles, etc. Mostly, it is letting go of what does not serve me anymore, the collections of clothes, coats, as well as things I thought were important at the time.
As we all move forward into 2009, it is so important to take a look at what really is serving us, to share, give away things others could use in their homes now, and not wait until that rainy day. Clutter outside, is clutter inside. When letting go of the 'stuff' on the outside in your homes, it will also release the clutter from the inside of 'self'.
Things like deaths, divorce, we sometimes hang onto things long past their time. Is it easy to just let go? For some, it is definitely easy, and for others not so. Where do I fit in? I am uncertain, as I find that to let go of things my children did at a young age, be it a picture, a hand print, etc. is part of the past, as well as part of the now and future. Where am I going with this, you will find out once you take a look in your closets, basement, drawers, and you will get the picture...
So, until later, time to trim the tree...
